With works ranging from oil and acrylic paintings, painted-over photographs, to aluminum casts as well as copper electrotypes of thickly impastoed paintings, and video performance -- the artist synthesizes a variety of techniques to create a body of work that invokes minimalism and abstract expressionism while simultaneously acknowledging a distance from their unmediated practices.
