ORDERING A PRINT
SHIPPING
Our prints are stored flat, and shipped carefully rolled with tissue paper in a thick cardboard tube. Any exception is stated on the print’s page.
We ship our prints exclusively with express carriers (DHL, Fedex). An insurance is included if any damage during the transport.
Please note that we do not ship framed prints, unless explicitly stated on the print’s page.
FRAMING
If you are planning to pick up your print in store, we may take care of the framing for you. Please contact us for a quote. Framing usually takes two weeks.
CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY
Unless planned as a part of the edition and specified in the print description, we do not send additional certificates for our prints.
The serial number, artist signature and invoice of the bookstore are the 3 elements necessary for authentification. You may find your invoice in the pouch behind the shipping label. If you need a pdf version of your invoice, please contact us.
UNPACKING
Prints should be manipulate as little as possible. We advice to go directly to your framer so he or she can unpack the print for you.
If you want to unpack it yourself or have to store it for a long time, here is how to proceed.
Make sure you operate on a flat, clean and dry surface measuring at least +20 cm the size of your print so you can unroll it easily. Ideally, wear cotton gloves.
Take off one of the top cap of the tube and the tissue paper, and extract the rolled print.
Unfold the borders of the wrapping that are inserted in the roll.
Place the tapes in front of you. Starting by the edges and finishing by the center, take off the tapes and let the print slowly unroll. If you plan to store your print, it can be stored as is.
Remove gently tapes on one side of the front to unveil the print. While doing so, be careful to pull from center to edge to avoid pulling on the angles of the print.
STORAGE AND DISPLAY
Prints are sensitive to light, moist, but also to acid. Contact with acid materials (most of the cardboards and papers that are not advertised as "acid-free") will slowly attack the print and lead to its yellowing and weakening on the long term.
Keep them wrapped in their tissue paper, and always store them flat in a dry place, within a hard protection. The ideal is a acid-free cardboard portfolio (archival quality).
We strongly advice against standard pre-made frames that can be bought in stores. The background is usually an acid material that could damage permanently your print on the long term.
When in display, keep your print away from humid environment and from direct sunlight.
If you plan to install your print in a luminous emplacement, a polarized glass will insure the durability of your print.
